Why complete The School MBA?
The School MBA provides 16–18 year-old Sixth Form students with an ideal supercurricular enrichment opportunity to build academic distinction alongside their A-levels or post-16 qualifications. Specially designed to prepare students for future careers in business, the programme serves as compelling evidence of pre-university study for applicants seeking places in Economics and/or Management programmes at elite universities.
Crucially, the curriculum maintains high academic rigour while remaining fully accessible to students who are not currently studying Economics or Business at A-level. Through a structured blend of video lectures, key readings, and modular online assessments, participants master foundational theoretical frameworks—ranging from Coase’s transaction costs and Chandler’s “Visible Hand” to Porter’s 5 Forces and behavioural economics.
Beyond university admissions, the programme equips young adults with vital real-world financial literacy and strategic decision-making skills. The modular structure systematically guides students through the practical aspects of building and running an enterprise.
The combined theoretical and operational learning culminates in a final capstone assessment, where students synthesize every module by developing a complete business plan for a hypothetical venture.
By completing the School MBA, Sixth Formers gain the analytical tools, financial confidence, and holistic strategic mindset necessary to excel in higher education and modern corporate environments.
